mydland ranch history

The Mydland homestead was established in 1944 by Grandpa Trygve. Paul and Janiece Mydland then began Mydland Angus by breeding the PJM Angus cattle in 1961. We are the third generation carrying on those same traditions with the fourth generation actively involved.

In the fall, the calves are weaned and brought home to be put into our own feedlot where they are matured and developed until it is time for them to be sold. We sell registered Angus bulls and replacement heifers by private treaty beginning January 1st.

Our goals continue to strive towards the maternal and disposition aspect, along with easy fleshing ability and longevity within our herd. We are very proud of the "Mydland Kind" of cattle we raise and take pride in the hard work it takes to maintain the ranch.
